Meteorologist, Brooke Laizer, is living out a lifelong dream of forecasting for her own beloved city during Good Morning New Orleans, which inspired her career 16 years ago.

Hailing from Metairie, LA. the Mount Carmel Academy and Mississippi State University alumna, earned her Bachelor of Geoscience Degree and received the Louisiana, Mississippi Associated Press’ Best College Weathercast Award during the Spring of 2017. 

Nationally, Brooke has studied under ABC News’ Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee, shadowing forecasting for Good Morning America. She immediately began her profession on air serving Augusta, Georgia; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; as well as Jackson, Mississippi.

When not at work, Brooke loves volunteering, traveling and rooting on both New Orleans Saints Football and New Orleans Pelicans Basketball as well as Mississippi State University Athletics. She also remains very involved in several local charities but is especially passionate about Boys Hope Girls Hope and Shuck Cancer. 

Oh and we can’t forget to mention that she was crowned the winner of the 2023 Royal Sonesta Greasing of the Poles!
